Machine Quilting Excellence ~ A Quilters Gathering 2009

Made for auction to benefit The Quilters Hall of Fame
by Karen Pessia and Diane Loomis

Welcome to my website!

I began quilting about ten years ago when I volunteered to coordinate quilts for my children's elementary school classes. I was loved quilting right away, and was hooked as soon as I slept under my first quilt.  As a parent with a 'day job' outside of the home, I did not have time to finish all my quilt tops by hand, and turned to machine quilting on my home sewing machine. I have been inspired by classes I have taken with many talented teachers. Before I knew it I fell in love with machine quilting - all on my home sewing machine!

I hope you enjoy browsing this site. Please check back for new quilts, more photos and updated workshop information.

Recent Quilt Sightings

May Tulips, the quilt collaboration between applique artist Karen Pessia and myself, traveled back to New England after the auction for the Quilters Hall of Fame in 2009.  It was juried into two recent shows: A Quilters Gathering, 2009; and the Lowell Quilt Festival, 2010.  We were proud when our quilt won awards at both shows.

Blues Sampler was juried into A Quilters Gathering in 2009. It was also displayed at the Chelmsford Quilters Guild Quilt Show in May 2010.  I was honored when Blues Sampler received the 'Viewers Choice' award at the show.
